Golden Jubliee of Gandhi Smark Nidhi, Bangalore's Preliminary Meeting at KSLU
Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Bangalore is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year. In view of this program the honored organization had organised its preliminary meeting in association with Karnataka State Law University at KSLU’s Law School on 17.07.2010.
The following resolutions were approved and adopted.

Launching of Golden Jubilee program on October 2, 2010 at Bangalore and to disseminate the Gandhian principles through out the year in all schools and colleges across Karnataka and culminating with a valedictory program on October 2, 2011 at the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.

Establishment of a Centre for Disseminating Gandhian Principles (Gandhi Tatva Prasara Kendra) in all taluks.

Publication of monthly magazine and popular literature on Gandhian Principles.

To publish 50 selected books on Gandhian Principles.

Preparation of a special project to pursue academic and research program at the Centre for Disseminating of Gandhian Principles (Gandhi Tatva Prasara Kendra).

To place request before the hon’ble Central Government to announce Khadi as a “National Cloth”.

To make an appeal both to the Central and State Governments to provide a separate allocation in its budget for the dissemination and popularising Gandhian Principles.

To propose the Government to make wearing of Khadi at least once a week by the Government employees and educational institutions.

To constitute various committees and sub-committees to celebrate the Golden Jubilee.

To make necessary preparation to felicitate Dr. H Sreenivasaih for his 25 years of yeomen service as the President to Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Bangalore.
While inaugurating the preliminary meeting Nadoja Dr. Patil Puttappa spoke about the life of Gandhi and called the people to lend their hands to make the Golden Jubilee successful. Dr. J. S. Patil, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka State Law University, Hubli in his introductory speech mentioned how Curricular and Co-curricular activities of the University are falling on the lines of Gandhian principles. He also felicitated the freedom fighters and other dignitaries at the meeting. Shri. C. N. Manjappa, Director, KSLU’s Law School welcomed the gathering and Shri. D. K. Kodandaramu Secretary of Gandhi Samrak Nidhi, Bangalore proposed Vote of Thanks.
