Mr. R. Ravishankar

Graduated in Forestry from Tamilnadu Agricultural University in the year 2002. He joined Indian Forest Service in the year 2003 and allotted to Karnataka Cadre. He got trained in the high forests of Western Ghats and worked as ACF in Shikaripur. On Promotion as DCF, he worked in Tumkur. He was deputed to Urban Development Department as Environment Officer in Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited. He also worked as DCF& Deputy Director, BRT Tiger Reserve and dealt with Man-Animal Conflict through JFPM. After a short stint in Koppal, he was posted in Sagar, where he introduced e-Governance in Timber Depots. He had also worked as DCF, Kundapur in Coastal Karnataka before proceeding on deputation with Government of India in the year 2015 there he worked as Deputy Director Senior in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, where he was involved in the training of young civil servants of the nation till 2018. During his stint in Government of India he has done a course on “Ethics and Governance” from Goldmann School of Public Policy, University of California, Berkeley. Before joining the KSLU he had worked as Field Director, ProjectTiger, Nagarahole Tiger Reserve. His interests are Wildlife Crime Investigation, Swimming, Trekking, Reading and Music.
